Trip to Honolulu, Hawaii

After spending 3 nights in Kona, I took a flight back to Honolulu.
コナで３泊した後はホノルルへ。

Street food fair right in front of farmer's market.

ファマーズマーケット前でのフードフェア、やっぱり甘いものが多いな。。。

Found a smoothie store owned by a Japanese lady in Waikiki. 

Kale, coconut milk and pineapple smoothie. YUM.

日本人の方が経営しているスムージー屋を見つけたので行ってみました。

大好きなケール、ココナッツミルク、パイナップルのスムージー。

Went to Roy's Waikiki for dinner. Fun atmosphere and good food.

 One of favorite meals of the day is breakfast. I woke up everyday early to　have　awesome breakfast at a hotel restaurant.

朝ご飯で有名なホテルのレストランが隣だったので毎朝起きて食べに行きました。

朝ご飯って本当美味しい！

Basically, I had way too many eggs benedicts on this trip.

I already want to go back there, wake up to sunshine and a nice breeze...

Trip to Kona, the Big Island of Hawaii

My spring break in Hawaii...
always one of the best places for vacation.
Hawaii generally try to keep their oceans clean as much as possible, which
is nice to see because with that amount of tourists its a difficult task to keep oceans and cities clean. 
This time, I first flew over to Kona, the Big Island of Hawaii.
I went to school in the Big Island for a month a long time ago when I was still in middle school! (Incredible now that I think about it :D) 
So here it is...I'd like to share my trip to Hawaii with you all.

一週間程ハワイに行ってきました。ホノルルが一番メジャーで
観光客が多い場所ですが、今回はコナ（コナコーヒーで有名な）に行ってきました！
ホノルルから３０分程また飛行機に乗り違う島に行きます。
実は昔１０年程前にこの島で一ヶ月ほど学校に通った事がありました笑
今思うといい経験だったなと。。。
空気が本当に綺麗で静かな島なので本当にリラックスできました＾＾

I LOVE this airport. One of my favorite airpots that I've visited.

Located completely outside. 
No windows, no doors, just these roofs to avoid rain. 

コナの空港は完全に「外」です（笑）

屋根が少しあるくらいで完全に外で建物は一切無し。この空港大好き！

Went to a local Hawaiian restaurant. When I say local, 

I mean where local people go to,no fancy menu, utensils, atmosphere. 

I always like to discover what local life is wherever I go.

Let me tell you, Hawaiian food is not so friendly when it comes to calories! 

But then, super satisfying. I couldn't help myself to order the "Sweet Potato Cheesecake". This cake was made out of sweet potatoes, taro, topped with coconut syrup. Wow...

ハワイの地元の人が行くレストランへ。

店内も全く飾りないし特に綺麗なお店でもないけど、観光客が行く所より

地元の人が行く場所の方が私は気になります。

チーズケーキが好きなので注文したら手のひらサイズの巨大ケーキ登場。

タロイモのチーズケーキで上にココナッツシロップ。

めちゃくちゃ甘い。。。けどめちゃくちゃ美味しかった笑

ドライブしていたらぽつんとあったフルーツ屋さん。

Tokyo Disneyland Food／東京ディズニーランドでグルメ

Today my best friend and I took a trip to Tokyo Disneyland! 
It was the season for halloween decorations and attractions, they had
decorated the whole park with lots of pumpkins, pumpkin parades..etc
I had a great time and can't wait to go again for a different seasonal theme.
It was great because we were both very excited to eat 'A LOT' at disneyland!
So here are some cute looking foods from TDL :)
Only in Japan, you can find such "cute" foods :) 

今日は友人と一緒に東京ディズニーランドへ！
たまたまハロウィンテーマでかぼちゃだらけになっていて
可愛かった〜！元々食いしん坊な私ですが、友人も一緒になって
今日いっぱいディズニーランドでご飯が食べたいと言ってくれたので
可愛いご飯をいっぱい探してきました＾＾
ハロウィンテーマだったので「かぼちゃ味」が多くて本当幸せでした〜！

Can you tell? The churro was shaped of Mickey Mouse.

よく見てみるとチュロスの形がミッキーでした。

焼き肉丼！あまり普段焼き肉丼などはチョイスしないけど

このゆで卵が可愛くて注文しました^^;

Lastly this! I didn't know what it was until I ordered it, but it was Japanese tea snack

made out of sweet bean curd. Interesting...!

あんまん？なのかなと注文してみたら実は和菓子で

あんこで出来たマイクでした。笑　５００円玉より一回り大きいくらいのサイズで

想像していた以上に小さかったのでびっくり！

The Original Pancake House : Huntington Beach

Morning pancakes with my family!

Good way to start a day.

The pancake house I went to was the one in Huntington Beach, 

there are other places located in different places as well.

家族と朝食をしにパンケーキハウスへ

ハンティングトンビーチというサーフィンで有名なビーチの近くの店舗に行きました

他にも店舗が違う場所にあるみたいです。

A variety of breakfast menu to choose from.

You can also get eggs, sausages, waffles, crepes,

other breakfast staples than pancakes.

パンケーキだけじゃなく色んなスタイルのエッグや

ワッフル、クレープ、ハムやソーセージなど朝食メニューがたくさんあります。

When I come here I always get the "Bacon Pancakes"

It has bacon crisps inside and I love eating bacon dipped in syrup.

I had my cousin tell me its a very strange combo, but I love it!

子供の頃からここに来ていて、いつも

ベーコンパンケーキ

というのを注文します。

カリカリしたベーコンが細かくパンケーキの中に入っているのですが

これにシロップをかけて食べるのが気持ち悪いなどとよく言われます...

ベーコンパンケーキ、結構人気なのになぁ。

After this my family and I headed to Huntington beach.

Good sunny day with a filling breakfast.

パンケーキハウスがビーチの近くなので

食べ終わった後にビーチへ散歩に。

いい朝食でした。

Ikko Sushi／IKKO寿司カリフォルニア

My first time at a really nice Japanese sushi place in whole California, so far.
The place is called "Ikko" located in Costa Mesa.
Nice atmosphere with dim lights, nice staff and very tasty food with Japanese chefs.

まさかこっちで美味しいお寿司が食べれるとは...
コスタメサにある"IKKO"というレストランへ。
板前、オーナー、サーバーの方達皆日本の方でした。
やはり日本人がお寿司をにぎって和食を作ってくれてると分かると少し安心＾＾；

A sign outside that says "We do not carry any American style rolls"

This already made me feel like I can have some decent, real Japanese sushi even before tasting them.

Seems like the chef follows the traditional Japanese way of sushi, good to know.

アメリカンスタイルの巻き寿司（カリフォルニアロールなど）は

おいてません、と店の外にある看板に書いてある。

カリフォルニアロールなどのは他の店でもいくらでもあるので

ちゃんとした日本の寿司が食べれるようでこの時点で少し期待。

I ordered some appetizers before having some sushi,

Scallops with Scallop mousse topped with lemon disks.

前菜が美味しいと評判がいいようなので

お寿司を食べる前に前菜をオーダー。

ホタテ、ホタテのムースとレモンディスク。

オーナーチェフがじっくり煮込んだ牛タンシチュー

And some of sushi I've had.

そしてお寿司を頂きました。

Uni egg curd with uni sauce and truffles.

ウニとウニソースの茶碗蒸し。

トリュフが入っていてすごく香りがいい。

And I ended my meal with rose petal ice cream topped with rose petal tempura.

最後のデザートは薔薇のアイスクリームと薔薇の花の天ぷら。
