The beans are high in Vitamin B and are served mostly on top of rice, although it might first scare some people who haven't tried them because of its smell and stickiness due to the fermentation.
Its one of those Japanese foods that reminds me of home and is a favorite of my little sister's.
So, I decided to make a patty cake out of them. Completely out of my head!
納豆が冷蔵庫で使われていなかったので
白ご飯以外と食べる方法はないかなと考えたところ...
ふと思いついたのが納豆焼き。
新鮮の生のとうもろこしがシャキシャキ甘くて美味しい
すごく簡単なので納豆好きの方は是非。
(Serves 2-3 people)
1 fresh corn, taken off from the cob
2 packs of natto
Couple strands of green onion chopped
3 tbsp of flour
1 whole egg
1/2 cup of water
(2〜3人分)
生のとうもろこし 1
納豆 2パック
青ネギ 細かく切る
小麦粉 大さじ3
卵 1
水 1/2カップ
First mix : flour, water and egg.
After the mixture all together and smooth, add the corn, natto and green onions.
When opening natto package they come with its original soy sauce so put those in the bowl as well.
まずボウルに小麦粉、卵、水を混ぜる
だまが無くなるまで混ぜたらとうもろこし、納豆、ネギをいれて混ぜ合わせる
納豆パックの中に入ってある醤油も入れて混ぜる
Take one big spoon. This will be the portion for one patty cake.
大きめのスプーン1回すくった程度の量が納豆焼き1つのサイズになります
Drizzle oil in a heated pan.
Use a spoon and place them around the pan, use the spoon to make them a flatter.
Also use spoon to adjust shape.
熱したフライパンにサラダ油を少々ひく
先ほどのスプーンをつかって納豆焼きを作っていく
スプーンを使ってなるべく平らにしていき丸く形を作る。
Cook about 3 minutes on each side until each side is golden brown.
だいたい3分ほど片側づつ焼き
両側がキツネ色になるまで両側焼く。
Take out of the pan and drizzle one teaspoon of soy sauce (ponzu might be good too)
皿に盛り醤油(ポン酢でも良さそう)を1スプーンほどかけて出来上がり。
Low budget, easy, side dish, fast!
